Our investment management approach is predicated on the belief
that the minimum requirement for most investors is Capital Preservation
and Growth.
From our experience, we have come to the conclusion that most asset
managers treat both requirements as mutually exclusive needs of
investors, hence they offer either one or the other. At FAITHLAND,
we seek to achieve both, in a risk-controlled environment through
Active Asset Class and Regional Asset Allocation.
This strategy, which is applied to all the portfolios that we manage,
requires that we combine a top-down global asset allocation process
as well as a bottom up stock selection process.

In the final analysis, as an FAITHLAND client, your portfolio
manager's mandate would be to:
- minimize
your portfolio risk; and
- optimize
your return over the long term.

FAITHLAND's research unit, is the nucleus, around which the entire
investment management process revolves, and is responsible for developing
our Global Asset Allocation (GAA) Strategy bi-annually.
In assisting our clients to develop sound portfolio strategies,
we emphasize Active Asset Allocation Strategies. Our research proves
that through Active Asset Allocation strategies, we can consistently
deliver positive returns to our clients in different market conditions.
Global Asset Allocation is a widely adopted method of enhancing
long-term performance. It is also an acknowledged fact that the
largest part of a portfolio's total return over time, is dependent
on the way in which resources are allocated among stocks, bonds
and cash, on the one hand, and among countries, sectors and securities,
on the other. Correspondingly, the relative contribution of market
timing to total return is usually minimal.
For this reason, our regional economists and global sector analysts
continuously monitor trends in the world's major markets and assess
the relative attractiveness of alternative markets and sectors.
Their recommendations are contained in our GAA report, forming the
blueprint for all our investment decisions.
By understanding our clients' financial needs and goals, our Client
Relationship Managers are able to translate these research insights
into customized investment plans that suit the risk tolerance, time
horizon and currency preferences of each client.
